What We Do

Omena accomplishes its mission by training participants (adults, youth and children) how to identify and prevent emotional abuse; building a therapeutic community of practice for young people to share and validate their experiences, and implementing a social-emotional learning curriculum in local schools through interactive workshops, mixed media, and other interventions.

Our Programs

Participants go through our training to learn and recognize emotional abuse and advocate for change in their communities

SOCIAL EMOTIONAL LEARNING (SEL) CURRICULUM

Through books, videos, interactive conversations and workshops, we teach children and youth to build healthy relationships

We provide our educators with a space for them to exchange best practices and be supported in their own healing journey

Community educators share a “Safe Space” with victims of abuse (at home, school, or work) to validate their experiences

We co-create content online with a global online community, helping us spread and amplify our cause.

Workshops focused on raising awareness around emotional abuse in the community

Become A Proud Volunteer Now

I didn't know there was such a thing as self-love. I would have never thought looking at the mirror and telling myself I'm worthy of love. Even thinking about doing that was crazy to me till I started. Thank you, Omena for helping me learn how to accept and appreciate who I am.
